Global Survey on the Lived Experience of People after Cancer Diagnosis

Initial welcome

Thank you for your interest in participating in this WHO survey about life after cancer. By participating in this survey, you are working to create more effective and supportive systems as part of a global community affected by cancer. This survey is part of a broader campaign that includes hosting national consultations, presenting best practices and implementing-led initiatives. If you would like to participate in this campaign, please contract the emails at the end of this survey. 

This survey focuses on the lived experience of people who have completed cancer treatment and/or their family members and caregivers, as well as the family members and caregivers of people who have died from cancer. This survey is NOT designed to be completed by people CURRENTLY receiving cancer treatment. All participants need to be 18 years or older. 

This survey is anonymous and voluntary. It is your choice whether you participate or not. You can save it and return to it later. There are very little risks associated with answering this survey. If you experience any distress when answering the questions, please reach out to a local organization in your country that can support you or to our research team members Dr Lori Weiner wienerl@mail.nih.gov or Dr Claire Wakefield c.wakefield@unsw.edu.au.

Have you ever had a family member or significant person in your life who was diagnosed with cancer?

If you have had cancer yourself, please complete this survey about your own cancer experience first.

You can also complete the survey about ONE family member or significant person in your life who was affected by cancer. We acknowledge that many people have more than one family member affected by cancer, however for this survey, please focus on the cancer experience of ONE family member or significant person in your life. It is important that your answers are all in relation to that one person.
